Well, hello there!
I’m Lindsey, owner and lead designer at this little company we call Flourish. What started as simply an idea over coffee, Flourish is now my full time career (after being a wife and mommy, of course!). Speaking of which, I have two of the most handsome little boys I get to call my children, and a pretty awesome, supportive, one-of-a-kind, couldn’t-do-this-without him husband.
I earned my BA in Hospitality Management from Madonna University and spent several years working in the hospitality industry before I figured out owning my own little piece of the industry was my true passion. I opened the doors to Flourish Event Design in 2007 and am still continually inspired and in awe of the beauty that surrounds me daily.
When I’m not busy designing, meeting with amazing clients or making this business flourish, I love spending time outdoors with my family and reading Cat In The Hat books with my little guys. A cold glass of bubbly champagne always wins me over and I’m a sucker for teen fiction books. Don’t judge me – Twilight, Divergent and The Hunger Games were seriously addicting! I am a devoted Christian and thank the Lord every single day for the opportunities He’s given me. Oh, my husband Adam and I are also foster parents so we’ve been given the unbelievable gift of loving on new little babies now and again.
Yep, you guessed it, we are a busy family! But it’s ok because what I do is so much more than just a job. I get to wake up and come to a place that I love. A place that gives me opportunities to help make wedding days, special events and interiors just a tiny bit better. Pretty things make people smile. And other people smiling makes me smile. The love just keeps going round and round…
